Machine Maintenance Mechanic
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment within the facility. This role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and implementing corrective actions to prevent equipment failures. The Maintenance Mechanic works closely with other team members to ensure that all machinery operates at optimal performance levels, contributing to the smooth and continuous production process. The schedule for this position is Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, Friday 08:00am - Noon. The Maintenance Mechanic may be required to work overtime as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs the following duties, but not limited to:
· Help to maintain proper machine functionality to decrease waste and increase uptime.
· Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on automated production equipment and tools, following drawings, operations manuals and instructions, troubleshoots malfunctions.
· Diagnoses equipment and machinery failures or problems and takes corrective action with minimal supervision
· Perform routine machine maintenance tasks, as needed, such as calibration and cleaning, oiling, greasing, and dusting. PM’s- Preventative Maintenance tasks as needed.
· Complete, review, and initiate accurate Company required maintenance documentations.
· Handle and repair complicated industrial electronic and electrical equipment from combined systems.
· Electrical troubleshooting 120/240, motor control, VFD's, Servo motors, contactors, electrical experience/certification preferred.
· Replace worn bearings, seals, gears, shafts, pulleys, sprockets, chains and other moving parts on machines as needed.
· Diagnosed mechanical problems with machines using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
· Report major machine or possible production problems to the department manager.
· Maintain appropriate downtime and changeover log sheets. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
· Follow lead people’s instructions regarding production priorities schedule, contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Perform regular preventive maintenance on wine production equipment, including HVAC systems, wine storage units, pumps, and tanks.
· Ensure proper functioning of wine storage and cooling equipment.
· Responsible for performing additional duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent; Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and/or training preferred, but not required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have bottling line previous experience.
Knowledge / Technical Skills:
Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills in English; understanding of principles and practices of the organization, planning, dependability, adaptability and confidentiality are necessary attributes. Must have mechanical / electrical troubleshooting skills, equipment maintenance, technical understanding. Basic safety. Must be able to adjust and respond to general maintenance needs in a timely manner as directed by management. Good mental processing speed and memory recall. Ability to maintain focus during long periods of repetitive tasks. Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
Equipment Experience -
PLC’s, standard and metric tools, drop gauges, micrometers, calipers, electrical testers, hand and power tools. Strong electrical (up to 480 VAC) experience with detailed understanding of industrial electrical circuitry (ladder logic), relay controls, motors, servo, motor controllers, variable frequency AC & DC drives, power and combined control systems and switches of all types.

There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to wear proper personal protective wear as required.
The worker is subject to hazards which include a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. Personal protection equipment must be worn as required.
