Shredder Operator

Tire Recycling facility shredder operator needed. This job includes (but is not limited to): feeding shredders with excavators, skid steer, and/or Telehandler, operating, cleaning, and maintaining different shredder equipment and supervising automatic sampling of raw materials.

Job Description:

Inspect equipment and assigned area prior to operation to ensure safety

Ensure the shredder is operating by designated time

Monitor knife life and schedule knife changes and turns when needed

Continually monitor conveyors to ensure that material is being processed at the appropriate speed

Ensure that the infeed skid operator is keeping the conveyor full for proper flow through the shredder

Monitor quality standards of products by inspecting the shredded materials for cleanliness, impurities, and densities

Skills:

Possession of organizational, time management, and basic math skills

Strong communicator

Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out procedures
