[COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST[The Community Violence Intervention Center, a regional and state expert on domestic violence and sexual assault intervention and prevention, seeks a community engagement specialist. This position plays a critical role in fostering relationships between CVIC and the community by leading community engagement efforts, coordinating and hosting CVIC in-house tours, and co-managing key events. The role requires a dynamic individual with a passion for community outreach and event planning, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position may require occasional evening and weekend work to attend or manage events. The position offers the option to work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person and remote, depending on the needs of CVIC and the preferred work style of the selected candidate.[MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Public Relations, Communications, Event Management, or a related field. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in community engagement, event planning, or a related role, preferably within a non-profit organization. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook) and Adobe Pro. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license, have access to personal transportation and be willing to travel locally when needed.[COMPENSATION: Salary range: $43,888 - $56,249 based on education and experience. Cultivate and maintain relationships with community members and partners, volunteers, prospects, and stakeholders to raise awareness of CVICs programs and services and impact within the community.

Serve as the primary contact for community inquiries, engagement opportunities, and in-kind donation requests, ensuring timely and effective responses to donors and partners.

Coordinate and manage volunteer involvement in community events and CVIC activities.

Collaborate with leadership and cross functional teams to plan, organize, and conduct in-house tours for potential donors, community members, and other stakeholders to showcase CVICs work and impact.

Coordinate the development and maintenance of tour materials, including presentations, scripts, and informational brochures.

Support the planning and execution of CVIC events, including logistics, sponsorships, marketing, donor engagement and volunteer coordination.

Work closely with the Development team to set and achieve fundraising goals.

Manage relationships with donors, sponsors, and volunteers involved in the event.

Ensure all events are well-organized, on-brand, and effectively communicate CVICs mission and impact in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications and Development teams
