Job Title: General Manager

Location: The Local Fix, Uvalde, TX

Position Overview: We seek an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our upscale restaurant. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensure the highest quality of food and service, and create a memorable dining experience for our guests. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

o Lead and inspire a team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff to deliver exceptional service.

o Recruit, train, and develop staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

o Schedule staff and manage payroll to ensure efficient operations while adhering to budgetary guidelines.

Operations Oversight:

o Oversee daily restaurant operations, including guest services and food and beverage quality.

o Implement and maintain operational standards, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.

o Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to optimize supply and minimize waste.

Financial Acumen:

o Understand and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure the restaurant's profitability.

o Analyze financial performance and implement strategies for improvement.

o Monitor costs and revenues, adjusting as needed to achieve financial goals.

Guest Experience:

o Ensure high customer service and satisfaction through direct interaction with guests.

o Handle guest complaints and feedback with professionalism and care.

o Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.

Menu and Culinary Oversight:

o Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and update the menu, ensuring it meets the restaurant's standards of excellence.

Stay informed about industry trends and adjust offerings accordingly.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business, culinary arts, or a related field is preferred.

Minimum [3-5] years of management experience in an upscale restaurant or fine dining environment.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor staff.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Proven financial acumen and ability to analyze data for decision-making.

Passion for food and wine, with a comprehensive understanding of the upscale dining experience.
