Starry Night Café | Host

Starry Night Cafe, located between Middlebury and Burlington, is currently seeking a dynamic individual to work with us as a host. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an outstanding dining experience. Cross-training is a huge part of what makes our team so successful so this new employee will have the opportunity to be trained as a server and food runner, if interested.

Our ideal candidate will be organized, have amazing customer service skills, pay attention to detail, and remain calm under pressure. Reliability, a sense of urgency and a positive attitude are what make our FOH team the most successful.

About the Position:

- Title: Host

- Schedule: Saturday & Sunday

- Hours: 4:30 to close (we do our last seating at 8pm so there are no super late nights!)

- Compensation: $16 an hour plus 8% tip out (averages $25-$33 an hour)

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a restaurant is preferred but not required, we are always willing to train the right candidate

- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks
