Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Director/Manager - Corporate in the heart of Chicago, Illinois. This role is pivotal to our operations, primarily focusing on tax strategy, supporting accounting for international entities, and providing audit support throughout the year. As a Tax Director/Manager, you will manage relationships with external tax advisors, supervise the preparation and filing of Federal and State Corporate/Partnership income tax returns, and provide tax strategy for the entire portfolio.Tax

Manage relationships and collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure efficient and accurate tax planning and compliance

Oversee preparation and filing of Federal and State Corporate/Partnership income tax returns

Manage relationships with external tax preparers for foreign filings and registrations

Assist external accounting firms in preparing tax returns and K-1s

Advise leadership on tax strategy for the entire portfolio, and prepare the business for new market entry internationally

Participate in due diligence for potential transactions and advise on tax implication

Conduct thorough transfer pricing analyses to support intercompany transactions

Lead preparation of required tax documentation across BEC and its subsidiaries (e.g. 1099)

Work with the finance and legal teams to ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations

Accounting

Manage a combination of outsourced and internal accounting and reporting for BEC and its subsidiaries, JV entities, acquisition and divestment transactions.

Manage capital accounts and income allocation for various entities.

Provide expertise on accounting treatment for varies transactions

Periodically review business needs are re-evaluate external scope requirements

Coordinate with FP& A on cash requirements for global business entities

Manage relevant aspects of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for Bluestar and its subsidiaries; ensure quarterly financials are distributed to limited partners

Audit

Act as a primary liaison with external auditors

Prepare required deliverables for year-end financial statement audits

Requirements

Partnership Tax Accounting expertise Strong understanding of Accounting Functions and financial principles. Experience with Annual Income Tax Provision preparation including K1's and review. Ability to conduct Auditing of financial records for accuracy and compliance. Proven track record in Compliance, ensuring all financial operations adhere to legal standards.
