Living by these virtues, we pride ourselves on exceptional service and the highest quality of care.Our Behavioral Health Unit is hiring!Our ideal candidate will live out the organization’s Missions, Vision, and Values by providing care for the needs of mentally and emotionally ill patients, under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will utilize good judgement, critical thinking, and problem- solving skills to maintain a safe and positive healing environment for patients, as well as therapeutic milieu.Additionally, the ideal candidate values the patients’ wellbeing and can assist with crisis situations that may require “hands-on” techniques for patient stabilization and safety. You will serve as a liaison between patients, family members, and the care team. You will also use communication skills to help to educate patients on proper coping techniques in accordance with their care plan.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess thorough knowledge and demonstratedexpertise in a behavioral health setting, normally acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree in psychology or social work with two (2) or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in a psychiatric facility or related setting preferred.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Medical-surgical patient care or medical office experience preferred.
