Heavy Equipment Mechanic Trucking
Job description
We are looking to hire an experienced heavy equipment mechanic to inspect, and maintain our Volvo VNL860/760 trucks with D13 engine and Wabash 53' Dry Van trailers. All equipment is 2019-2023 and under warranty.
Responsibilities:
As a lead mechanic, you will be responsible for driving to the job site, inspecting equipment, carrying out services, conducting minor repairs, performing diagnostics, and providing routine maintenance to the fleet.
Performing preventative maintenance - Oil, breaks, and tires change
Air leaks
Coolant leaks
Grease job
Perform diagnostics
Analyzing diagnostic test results
Minor repairs
Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management
Checking vehicle lighting systems
Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
Maintaining a parts inventory
Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop
Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts
To ensure success as a heavy equipment mechanic, you should have proven experience working with heavy machinery, be physically fit, and be able to troubleshoot issues on the job site.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $25 per hour
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Weekends as needed
