Collectively, you will share a common goal, and that is to exceed Guest expectations. Additionally, you will help develop housekeeping crew, as you guide them on their path to success! Thus, you will play an important role within the Disney Cruise Line team.You will report to the Housekeeping Manager.Level: Officer (2 Stripes)Responsibilities :
Responsible for assigned area/location including but not limited to: Guest Staterooms/Crew Accommodations, Night Operations, Public Areas, Deck, Wardrobe, Floor Care
Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance of ship
Conduct daily area Inspections and confirm they comply to our Show quality and maintenance and USPH standards
Ensuring MLC 2006 compliance/accurate time recording practices are being followed in Company provided systems for crew members
Overall scheduling of the team with work assignments
Handle and resolve housekeeping related Guest issues in a timely manner
Conduct daily inspection of designated areas which includes: Daily Stateroom Inspection as per Quality Standard as well as Stateroom Pest Management Inspection & Quarterly Stateroom Inspection (maintenance & upkeep)
Ensure all housekeeping areas meet USPH and Coast Guard regulations
Oversee appropriate use and operation of housekeeping equipment and chemicals
Supervise luggage operations on embark/debark days
Facilitate department meetings; conduct daily pre-shift and break out meetings
Timely communication, documentation and appropriate follow up on all guest issues
Provide leadership and development to team
Basic Qualifications :
Minimum 2 years Housekeeping Leadership experience on ships or 200+ room 5 Star hotel, within the last 4 Years
Proven experience leading a diverse team
Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks
Ability to make decisions
Strong partnering, collaboration and relationship skills with various Line of Business/Departmental Leaders
Strong Computer skills (Microsoft Programs) with a demonstrated proficiency with PC based data bases
Knowledge of maintenance reporting cloud-based systems and hotel integration, with an openness to learning new ones
Preferred Qualifications:
Hospitality Management degree or equivalent a plus
Dry-dock, re-fit Experience a plus
New Ship/Launch Experience a plus
Knowledgeable of guidelines (i.e. USPH, MLC, ILO)
