General Manager
Since 2014, we have been a neighborhood fixture of fort greene. We recently moved to a larger space with a garden right across from the Brooklyn Academy of Music. While we started out as a cafe, we now have a full offering with an evening menu, full bar & event space. We are looking for someone to help grow and take us to the next level!
Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring a seamless and efficient service experience. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety within property. Have the ability to unite both FOH and BOH towards a common goal of continually raising the bar.
Staff Training: Train and mentor staff on table manner, service techniques, and customer engagement to enhance their skills and performance.
Event Coordination: Plan and execute special events and promotions to attract and engage customers.
Guest Engagement: Provide personalized wine recommendations and exceptional service to guests, creating memorable experiences and fostering guest loyalty.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage wine inventory, including ordering, storage, and control. Ensure proper handling and rotation to maintain quality and minimize waste.
Financial Oversight: Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the bar, including tracking expenses, managing costs, and implementing strategies to achieve financial goals.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a bar manager or similar role, with a strong focus on wine. Proven track record of managing bar operations and delivering exceptional customer service.
Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to train and motivate a team while maintaining high standards of service. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Education: A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Additional wine education or certifications are a plus.

Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $85,000.00)
