Job Summary: Responsible for all cleaning and related activities in support of the Palm Harbor corporate facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Follows daily task list to ensure that cleaning activities are performed on a timely basis and with high standard of quality.

Specific cleaning activities include, but are not limited to: dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, deep cleaning of kitchens, baseboards, and carpeting; washing windows; full cleaning of bathrooms.

Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.

Responsible for ensuring all cleaning supply rooms are fully stocked with appropriate cleaning materials as well as additional inventory (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.)

Maintain appropriate cleanliness standards and report any known issues regarding cleaning, building safety, or needed repairs to Management.

Must handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc. Must comply with all regulations such as OSHA, EPA, State Health Department, etc.

Other cleaning duties as assigned by Management based on prevailing need.

Work Experience / Knowledge:

Able to follow established daily activity schedule and ability to accomplish tasks on a timely basis.

Ability to operate a variety of equipment associated with the essential functions of the position, such as vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners, etc.

Qualifications / Certifications:

High school graduate; college educated a plus.

Minimum of three years of custodial experience required

Additional Requirements:

This position demands good physical and mental health. The Custodian will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull and must be able to move continuously during work hours and able to lift and/or carry 50 to 75 pounds.
