Operator/Production Worker

Basic Purpose:
Responsible for production and packaging of a variety of plastic parts using injection molding machines, ensuring that parts meet visual inspection quality standards, following communication and efficiency guidelines to ensure minimal waste. Work in different areas of the facility as needed, Production , Assembly and general labor. Work on the production line doing assembly.
Principal Accountabilities:
Continually operate injection molding machines by starting, stopping, and removing parts from machines with minimal downtime.
Visually inspect product as it is produced and trim excess plastic from parts to meet quality standards.
Work on assembly line and equipment in an efficient and productive manor.
Work in production assembling multiple parts for finished items.
Continually monitor product for quality deviations and communicate any issues promptly to prevent excess scrap.
Mix plastic pellets, colorant, and/or additives for production and ensure that material is mixed and loaded into drier hoppers.
Load scrap parts into grinding machine while not exceeding machine capacity.
Perform cleaning and organization of plant and work areas to maintain safety standards.
Coordinate and communicate with coworkers to ensure breaks are given and quality standards are maintained.
Work proactively as a team member by cooperating with peers and management to meet company goals and initiatives.
You will need to be able and willing to work in an Industrial manufacturing plant environment including extended periods of time in noisy, non-air conditioned or unheated areas.
May perform other jobs as assigned.
Physical Demands:
Medium Work: Exerting up to 75 lbs. of force occasionally and or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or up to 25 lbs of force constantly to move objects. Medium work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
Reaching- Extending the hands and arms.
Handling- Seizing, holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with your hands.
Machines, Tools and Equipment with may be used, but not all inclusive:
Forklift, Pallet Jacks, Cutting tools, Grinders, Hand Carts, Dollies, Cutting tools, Dremel tools, Hand tools, Pad printing, production equipment, assembly machines and other production items.

Work Hours:
Monday-Friday 6am-4:30pm
