Comcast Business has been consistently recognized by industry analysts and associations as a leader and innovator, and one of the fastest growing providers of Ethernet services.Job SummaryJob DescriptionDUTIES: First-Level Supervisor of Software Development Engineers and Analysts responsible for developing data engineering solutions using SQL, SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS), and Amdocs Orion; write automation scripts using Python; track tickets and manage defects using Jira; work in an Agile development environment; use Databricks for data management; visualize data using Tableau; coordinate data analysis to develop business and consumer insights; develop business requirements, assess current reporting capabilities, and make recommendations for improvement; provide the Company with solid, effective and efficient systems that are supportable; evaluate all major system modifications and development requests to determine potential benefits and impact on business and information system operations; understand the needs of non-technical internal application users and maintain strong support relationships with managers, leads, and end-users community in all business areas; identify possible conflicts with the strategy and recommend cost-effective alternatives; conduct full analyses of changes impacting customers and operations and ensure impacts are accurately integrated into forecast; carry out post-event analyses to validate forecast assumptions and identifies all additional factors associated with changes; develop processes and procedures to drive department efficiency; provide subject matter guidance to employees as needed; assist in development and meeting of departmental budget; and manage a team including exempt and non-exempt employees. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience developing data solutions using SQL and SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS); of which three (3) years include writing automation scripts using Python; tracking tickets and managing defects using Jira; working in an Agile development environment; of which one (1) year includes using Databricks for data management; and visualizing data using Tableau.Disclaimer: This information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this role.
