Uni-Fab Industries is looking for outstanding motivated Sheet metal and Machining Quality Inspection Engineers to join a rapidly growing company. Shop is clean and air conditioned.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Verification of acceptability of process operations and material.
Inspect, measure parts, products, installations, or work for conformance of specifications.
Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to customer specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
Inspect all welding from weld shop prior to deburr/grind.
Inspect frames, weldments, and machined parts with FARO Arm.
Compare colors and textures of products or materials with color charts, samples to verify conformance of standards.

Other Functions/Requirements
Some heavy lifting of parts weighing 50 lbs. or less.
Record inspection dimensions and quantities on travelers for each job.
Identify defects such as chips, burrs or pitted surfaces.
Create NCMR and Processes Change documentation.
Technical Background: (Required Skillset)
Must be knowledgeable in sheet metal practices, weld techniques, and proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
Have performed FAIRS; training available – (First Article Inspection Reports) (FAIRS for Lam a Plus)
Must have good math skills and knowledge of blueprint interpretation.
Must be able to understand and interpret job travelers.
Discuss inspection reports with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions.
Analyze and interpret customer drawings, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications and other measuring require.
Welding background, knowledge, or Certified Weld Inspector a “Plus”

Two-year technical degree or higher is preferred but not required.
