Job Title:
Full Time General Laborer
Full Benefits. Includes health insurance and paid vacation.
Come into the Pro Shop and fill out an application.
Shift Day and Time:
Works all weekdays from 4:30A-12:45P
Job Overview:
Assists in setting up the golf course for golfers. Sets up tee markers, cuts new holes, empties rubbish cans, mows greens and rakes sand bunkers to assure golf course is ready for play.
Pay is $17.45 per hour
Supervision:
Position reports directly to the Golf Course Maintenance Superintendent.
General Duties/Functions:
Clock in and out with your time card.
Responsible for setting up the tee markers.
Assures there is no obstacles or trees on the cart path.
Empties and cleans all rubbish cans.
Cuts new holes on each green to golf course specifications.
Rakes all sand bunkers with motorized equipment.
Rakes all sand bunkers with hand rakes if needed.
Mows all greens with a motorized mower.
Working Conditions:
Be physically able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and under different lighting conditions. The job requires lifting of 50 pounds or more.
Equipment Used:
Golf carts, two-way radio, laptop computer, score cards, pencils, driving range balls/baskets/buckets/signage, air tank compressor, blower, brooms and dust pans.
Other Materials Used:
Position may be exposed to gasoline, lubricants, and other solvents.
Mental Demands:
Requires working under general supervision and the ability to work independently under a constant changing environment.
Physical Demands:
Requires standing for long periods of time and assist guests/members which frequently require lifting and pulling up to 50 pounds or more. Frequent bending, turning, crouching, and stooping. Must be able to operate a golf cart and other equipment in a safe manner. Must be able to operate a computer laptop to access the daily tee sheet. Normal vision and hearing ranges required. Must be able to fluently speak and write the English language.
Qualification Requirements:
Skills/Knowledge/Attributes: Possess general knowledge of golf course rules, regulations and play. Excellent oral communication and customer service skills. Enthusiastic and outgoing personality. Organized and able to work in a busy environment where the priorities are changing.
Education/Training:
High school education. Have a valid driver's license.
