Forklift Operator/Yard Hand

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a warehouse or distribution center setting.

Responsibilities

- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to load/unload materials and deliveries

- Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance tasks

- Assist in the picking and packing of orders as needed

- Keep accurate records of inventory transactions

- Adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times

Skills

- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts including Reach Truck and Cherry Picker

- Experience with order picking and working in a distribution center

- Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse supervisors and team members

- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with the equipment

- Capability to lift and unload heavy materials safely

- Familiarity with loading/unloading procedures and maintaining inventory accuracy
