Director, Human Resources - McLaren Careers
Position Summary:The HR Director guides and manages the overall provision of human resource services, policies, and programs for the subsidiary.The HR Director originates and leads the human resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards; goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.The HR Director is either part of or works closely with the executive management team of the subsidiary, and assists and advises leadership about Human Resources issues. The HR Director is responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction with the delivery of Human Resources services.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Plans and organizes a program of employee and labor union relations to prevent and mediate employee disputes and grievances.Formulates and recommends program goals and objectives in all areas of employee relations.
Facilitates the development and implementation of processes and programs that establish a culture of employer of choice.
Provides consultative services to subsidiary leadership related to HR issues, including, re-organization issues, employee issues, employment practices, etc.
Drives and educates subsidiary leadership in the employee engagement process. Monitors progress and makes recommendations for improvement and change.
Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating human resources goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.Assists in planning, implementing, and evaluating short-and-long range strategic goals and objectives.
Designs and implements business focused policies/contacts, processes and procedures, business plans and strategies that are in alignment with subsidiary and MHC strategy.
Responsible for all day to day operations of Human Resources support.
Facilitates and leads large-scale multi-disciplinary teams, organizational projects and educational programs.
In consultation with internal and external legal counsel, assists in preparation for litigation, contract negotiations, grievances, EEO, unemployment and compliance hearings.
Responsible for the employee commitment process within the subsidiary and involved in employee commitment development initiatives system-wide.
Assists in the development and administration of the annual budget.
Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications: Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study.
Five (5) years or progressively more responsibility in Human Resources
Two (2) years of management experience, preferably in healthcarePreferred:
Master’s Degree in a related field of study
Experience in health care industry
SPHR or PHR certification
