Small Personal Injury Law Firm is looking to hire an experienced pre-litigation secretary/case manager with experience in handling all aspects of personal injury. The ideal candidate must know how to handle claims from beginning until the end, including, but not limited to, initial client contact and updating case status, taking phone intakes, medical records requests, scheduling medical appointments, resolving property damage claims, loss of use, reporting claims to Medi-Cal and Medicare for lien resolution, preparing files for demand, and quality client care. Spanish a plus

Sending letters of representation

Opening insurance claims

Confirming coverage

Requesting police reports

Clearing liability

Preparing DMV forms

Negotiating property damage claims

Coordinating medical treatment

Preparing demand letters

Interacting with adjusters and defense counsel

Negotiating bodily injury claims

Performing lien negotiations

Case management

Qualifications and Skills

Must have the knowledge AND be able to handle file from beginning to end;

Make initial report and open claims with insurance companies.

Excellent writing and oral skills- ability to write without spelling and grammatical errors;

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word- Out Look- Excel.) and Adobe Pro DC is a MUST since we are a paperless office;

Being able to handle more than 70 pre-lit cases from intake through demand

Must have the ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload;

Spanish Speaker is required

Can type at least 50 wpm

Great Customer Service, being able to monitor e-mails in real time and able to follow the office policy as to the task and notes by meeting the deadlines

$24-$40 per hour depending on experience, bonus, sick days, a friendly and family-oriented environment, raises for good performance, and room for growth
