Law firm located in Downtown LA is seeking a Secretary for immediate hire. Law firm's emphasis is litigation, transactional, and regulatory compliance practice. Applicant must be detail oriented, motivated, organized, and able to communicate effectively and professionally with associates and clients.

Responsibilities include:

Editing and finalizing litigation documents

Calendaring and managing court dates/deadlines

Case management tasks including setting up court calls

Filing with State and Federal courts (including e-filing)

General administrative duties but not limited to, answering phones, timekeeping, and opening new matters.

Qualifications:

Relevant legal experience favored, but not required

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

Strong written and oral communication skills

Able to act independently and multi-task

Must be organized and detail-oriented

We will train someone who has good skills. Must type 40+ words a minute

This is a fulltime position with paid benefits and parking. Compensation $20/hr and up based on experience.
