POSITION SUMMARY
The position of Day Time Bartender is responsible for managing the bar area by providing excellent customer service to guests, preparing drinks according to recipes, and upselling drinks or food items. They are also responsible for maintaining a clean and efficiently run bar area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Guest Services
Greets guests in a courteous manner as they arrive at the bar;
Presents bar menus to guests and makes recommendations as needed; Assesses guests’ needs and preferences;
Communicates clearly with guests and fellow team members;
Records accurate food and cocktail orders from guests, and ensures that they are processed correctly;
Ensures drink orders are prepared correctly before delivering them to guests; Runs food and drink orders when needed;
Prepares cocktails using the standard liquor pour count and recipe measurements; and Creates and archives daily sales goals, promotes events and upsells food & drinks.
Bar Maintenance
Routinely prepares or replenishes garnishes and drink add-ons before shift; Ensures daily and weekly cleaning is completed accurately;
Maintains overall cleanliness of the bar area;
Changes beer kegs and soda boxes when needed, and Ensures glasses and dishes are clean and polished.

Must be at least 21 years old;
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts;
Standing and walking for sometimes long and continuous periods; Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling or crouching;
Often working weekends and late nights; Lifting up to 50 lbs.; and
Exposure to various noise levels.
QUALIFICATIONS
Incumbents must demonstrate the ability to follow policies and procedures as established in the Company’s Employee Handbook. Incumbents will also contribute to a positive work environment by behaving and communicating so that they get along with all constituent groups, co-workers, and management.

EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
(MUST HAVE BEFORE APPLYING )
Food Handler certification required; and
Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is required.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Bartending experience preferred; and
Previous bar/restaurant experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail in a service-oriented environment; Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills;
Excellent oral communication skills; Basic mathematic skills;
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment;
Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the dining and bar area; and Team player.
EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS
Working knowledge of restaurant/bar Point of Sale (POS) systems is required.
