Accounting and Human Resources Administrator
Description Robert Half has teamed up with a local, well-respected company with an immediate opening for an experienced Accounting Clerk with some Human Resources functions. As an integral part of our team, you will assist the Controller or General Manager in administering financial and HR duties. This includes but not limited to handling accounts payable and receivable, processing sales tax, conducting bank deposits, managing payroll and benefits administration. Manage all aspects of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions.
Calculate, prepare, and complete sales tax returns.
Make timely bank deposits and generate appropriate reports.
Provide accounting and administrative support to the Controller or General Manager, as needed.
Assist in the administration of employee benefits, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Help manage the payroll system, verify calculations, and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Provide support in various HR tasks as needed: recruitment, onboarding, and processing employee documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field is preferred, not required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the accounting field with some exposure to HR duties.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and accounting software.
Excellent multitasking ability, organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff at all levels.
