The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.Salary Range$172,200.00 - $275,500.00Target Openings1What Is the Opportunity?Within the Product team at Travelers, you will have the opportunity to regularly engage in unique and intellectually stimulating business problems. As a VP, Product Manager II, Small Commercial, you will be responsible for the profit and loss of multiple large & complex states, product lines, or business units including having oversight of competitor & market analyses, achieving financial results, and influencing business strategies. You will collaborate with Sales and Underwriting leadership in the formulation and execution of profitable growth initiatives for your assigned states(s), lines or Business Units.What Will You Do?

Serve as a key leader in the formulation and execution of Product strategies that drive financial performance and growth for assigned states, product lines or business units.

Lead development of state, line or business unit strategies within the Product Management organization that align with Small Commercial strategy while adjusting as needed for geographic / business dynamics.

Lead Product Management teams and partner with key stakeholders to understand market trends and drive strategies that address business challenges, meet profitability goals and enhance business outcomes.

Drive the ongoing development of Small Commercial Product Management capabilities, including product insight, talent development, and enhancement of a culture aimed at rewarding innovative behaviors that influence regional and overall business execution.

Demonstrate strong and effective communication of Product strategies, financial results and impact of strategies to Product team, key stakeholders and senior leadership.

Lead others to develop strong working relationships with business partners including Underwriting, Finance, Sales, Actuarial and Business Analytics.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

Master’s degree preferred.

Eight years of product management experience, with experience in senior-level general management and an in-depth knowledge of two or more commercial product lines.

Comprehensive P&C industry knowledge with deep knowledge of pricing and actuarial.

Ability to lead leaders and build, motivate, and develop team members.

Combines quantitative analysis with local market insight.

Recognizes the broader impact of recommendations across business lines.

What is a Must Have?

Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Six years of product management, data analytics or similar experience.

Two years Profit/Loss management experience.

Four years managing others.
