MARINE TECHNICIAN
Responsibilities:
The Commissioning and Service Technician is responsible for the commissioning of new Yachts and Mega Yachts and their components of the yachts including but not limited to A/V, electrical, navigation, appliances, and other Martine mechanical components.
The employee is responsible for diagnosing problems and preforming complex and /or mechanical repairs on vessels
Troubleshoot and install Electronics and AV/IT
Install and repair a wide verity of marine equipment and to ensure its fully functional to manufactures specifications
Diagnose and repair Bilge Pumps and associated systems
Perform various installations and repairs to equipment and machinery as related to yacht repair and maintenance
Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose problems with customers vessels
Identify and order parts as necessary to complete projects
Replace parts and equipment as necessary
Preform routine maintenance on equipment according to manufactures guidelines
Communicate and maintain service records
Skills:
Reading - Has the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and understand very complex material (technical reports, equipment
specifications)
Mathematical - Basic math and metric system knowledge is required
Writing - required writing to explain or describe information
Planning/Organizing - Performs activities planned by others.
Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate
person with an alternate plan.
Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and
materials properly.
Ability to use laptop computer and tablets

Physical Requirements:
The ability to:
stoop, crouch, pull, push, reach, hear, near vision, kneel, talk, stand, grasp, walk and lift up to 50 lbs are required.
Required Experience and Qualifications
4 - 5 years experience in a general marine mechanic position
School Diploma or GED
Vocational/Technical/Business School
ABYC certification a plus
Ability to work independently
Willing to submit drug screenings
Willingness to travel occasionally
