Plumbing Mechanic, Junior Mechanic, Helper

NYC plumbing contractor looking to hire mechanics, junior mechanics and helpers with some experience in new construction/alteration. Salary is negotiable. Candidate should possess the following:

-NYC DOB Journeymen Card - Extremely Preferred

-GOQ Card - Extremely Preferred

-OSHA 40- Mandatory

-G60- Torch Use Certification - Preferred but not required

-F60 - Fire Guard Certification - preferred but not required

-Ability to read blueprints

-Deck layout experience a plus

-Layout piping to new and renovated apartments according to NYC Plumbing Code

-Ability to do stacks and risers

-Ability to install high end shower bodies with thermostatic valves and multiple volume controls

-Ability to install plumbing equipment such as but not limited to sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, appliances, trim, etc.

-Ability to take material list and maintain sufficient materials on job

-Work with little or no supervision

-Good work ethic such as being punctual, dependable and professional

-Have your own hand tools

-Driver's license a plus

-Knowledge and ability to navigate to NYC jobsites

-Speak, read and write English
