Retail Area Team Leader
The pay range for this position is $56000 - $62000 and is based on experience.Competitive salary, Bonus eligible, Comprehensive benefits package, Generous PTO, 45 hour work week, Health and Wellness Programs, Advancement opportunities and much MORE!POSITION SUMMARY:The Area Team Leader is responsible for the timely and consistent execution of all merchandising, operational, and human resource policies and procedures within a designated retail location in accordance with the philosophy and standards of OSJL. This role participates in managing the entire store while maintaining specific areas of responsibility. The Area Team Leader is responsible for leading, managing, and developing a group of sales associates within their building and dedicated departments.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote the assigned stores strategic vision in line with that of OSJL leaders and drive store profits through effective leadership strategies and techniques.
Drive sales through the proper execution of company programs.
Manage inventory control in assigned areas of responsibility through proper communication to the Buyers as well as the Planning and Allocation Team.
Hire, supervise, and train assigned store associates within areas of responsibility.
Develop high potential associates to increase capacity and succession for future leadership opportunities.
Ensure store presentation is in compliance with company standards including but not limited to merchandising, maintenance, and cleanliness.
Comply with company directives including operational, merchandising and visual policies, procedures, and programs.
Monitor customer service to ensure the quality of service is commensurate with company and customer expectations.
Develop and promote a stable, knowledgeable store organization.
Oversee freight flow, backroom organization, and 24-hour freight turnaround.
Maintain a professional and effective working relationship with the store leadership, store associates, and field management.
Provide for the effective operation of the store in the absence of the Store Team Leader.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Previous retail management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
Proficient in Google platform (i.e., Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Long periods of remaining stationary, moving, and positioning oneself to complete assigned tasks are required throughout the shift.
