ResponsibilitiesProvidence Medical Center (PMC) is looking for an exceptionalper diem, variable shift Public Safety/Security Officer to join our Security team. The Safety/Security Officer duties include, but are not limited to:
performs security services, including electronic surveillance, systematic manual Security Officers’ rounds, and functions of PBX
coordinates facility response to various potential problems for patients, employees, and visitors
enforces policy & procedure, ensuring equitable enforcement
follows guidelines and perpetual monitoring techniques, towards establishing a safe workplace for employees and a safe environment of care
participates in employee awareness and education
driving as needed for company business
other duties as assigned
QualificationsEducation and Work Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent, required
certification from IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety), preferred
valid driver’s license upon hire and maintained current
experience in healthcare security or related field, preferred
current DMV report
