Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Property Accountant in the Non-Profit industry, located in MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota, United States. This role primarily involves maintaining financial records of real estate properties and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.Responsibilities: Oversee the process of account coding, ensuring all transactions are classified correctly. Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate financial records. Work closely with ADP - Financial Services for precise financial reporting and analysis. Use AMSI and AppFolio software to manage property accounting tasks efficiently. Perform comprehensive accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable. Implement accrual accounting principles to prepare financial statements. Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of financial data. Resolve any accounting discrepancies and irregularities promptly. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Requirements Proficient in Account Coding Experience with Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Knowledge of AMSI and AppFolio Ability to handle Accounting Functions Understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Accrual Accounting Proficient in Auditing Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in the non-profit sector Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines High level of accuracy and attention to detail Solid understanding of property management accounting practices Familiarity with state and federal non-profit financial regulations Willingness to continue professional development in non-profit accounting.
