Execute and support designing experiments to advance the scientific understanding of the company’s proprietary biomarkers and to support product development and product life cycle expansion
Incorporate applicable technologies, methods, and instrumentation to address complex scientific questions
Routinely perform proprietary biomarker assays on clinical validation studies conducted on large sample cohorts, incorporating GLP and GCP elements
Perform RNA & DNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, process blood samples and use various gene expression technologies and platforms, on a routine basis
Accomplish research goals within timelines and budgets in a fast-paced work environment
Write and verbally communicate technical observations and findings; prepare comprehensive technical reports for various stakeholders
Communicate effectively and successfully work in cross-functional teams to achieve company-wide goals
Assist in organization and maintenance of the research laboratory; help with purchasing, budgeting, supplies forecasting, reagent manufacturing and other operational activities
Qualifications
Possess a B.A./B.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related field and 2 - 3 years of industry experience, or a M.S. with 1 – 2 years of industry experience.
Have a good understanding of genomics and molecular biology, with experience in assay development, using techniques such as qRT-PCR, NGS, ChIP-Seq, RNA-seq, epigenomics, IHC, cell culture, histology, cell biology, and other molecular assays.
Can help plan, design, and execute experiments, understand project goals, be hands-on and self-directed
Be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects with competing timelines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Possess solid communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work with a diverse workforce
Previous experience in multi-omics, signaling pathways, cell biology assays, CLIA or IVD environments, highly desirable

The annualized base salary range for this hourly role is $57,500 - $86,200 and is bonus eligible.
