Salary Range: $89,000 - $100,0000 depending on experience. The salary is determined by the finalist’s qualifications and experience as well as the equity analysis for similarly situated MPP II positions at CSULB.
The Role: Under the general direction, serves as a major support to the Office of Equity & Diversity, to the Assistant Vice President of Equity & Compliance, and to serve as an Equity & Compliance delegate on diversity-related committees and tasks groups.

Responsibilities:
ADDRESSING COMPLAINTS & INVESTIGATIONS:
Conduct meetings, investigations, formal mediation, and produce investigatory reports.
Assist with serving as the primary interface with external compliance agencies involving protected status, like the State of California Department of Fair Employment & Housing, the federal US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, California State Auditor's Office, and the federal US Office for Civil Rights. Conduct investigations into complaints filed by employees, students, visitors, contractors, and spectators and respond to requests for information from state and/or federal agencies. Address implicit bias and behavioral related matters and resolve concerns through mediation and behavioral intervention case management.
REPORTS:
Manage the University's Affirmative Action Plans under legislative mandate of the Vietnam-Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act and under the Presidential Executive Order 11246, as amended.
Manage the University's IPEDS reporting annually.
Manage the University's VETS-100 reporting annually.
Under the respective Executive Orders, draft Clery Annual Security Report, California Safety Report, draft templates for the Timely Warning Notifications, Annual Compliance Notifications, and DHR, Title IX, Whistleblower and Whistleblower Retaliation Investigatory reports
TRAINING:
Develop, organize, and facilitate disability-related training activities for all constituencies of the University community.
Write, edit, update, and facilitate Title IX, Clery, CANRA, Whistleblower, Whistleblower Retaliation, non- discrimination, harassment prevention, and retaliation training for the University community.
Assist with managing employee and student worker online compliance and prevention training, related DHR, Title IX, CANRA, and Clery. Semi-annually solicit names and data for new and newly-assigned employees with supervisory duties. Notify by email all new registrants and solicit changes in duties or employment from employees. Submit registration data and all changes for registrants. Monitor completion of training by designing an Excel-formatted document to sort by division and college. Notify Vice Presidents, Deans, Directors of employees regarding the lack of completion.
Assist with employee and student online training programs related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation and sexual misconduct.
COMMITTEES:
Serve as an Equity & Compliance representative for compliance based committees, like Accessible Technology Initiative, ADA Barrier Removal, Return to Work, Behavioral Intervention, Athletics Gender Equity, Title IX Case Management, etc.
Serve as an Equity & Compliance representative for equity & compliance focused committees, like President's Commission on the Status of Women, LGBTQI Campus Climate, Campus Climate, etc.
Assist with University compliance requests by responding to campus audits, complaints, or specific compliance questions that cannot be addressed by other University offices designated to process technology requests.
OFFICE OF EQUITY & COMPLIANCE DATABASES, ONLINE TRAININGS, TRAINING MATERIALS:
Maintain, update, and verify the data in case management databases, applicant databases, and online compliance trainings. Design and update office communications, like training materials, posters, handbills, handouts, and brochures.
OTHER DUTIES INCLUDING:

Education / Experience Requirements:
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of related experience required.
Ability to communicate and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with an ethnically and culturally diverse university community.
Familiarity with federal and state equal employment, disability, and family medical leave law and regulations, including Title V, Title II, Title VII, Title IX, and Sections 503, 504, and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act; all pertinent sections of the Americans Disabilities Act; and federally mandated affirmative action plans under the US Department of Labor, Office of Federal Contract and Compliance Programs.
Ability to effectively manage a large case load and prioritize deadlines for projects and mandated requirements.
