Liquid is a large, data-centric cloud service that manages multiple terabytes of data infused with artificial intelligence to support governance, compliance, and risk management across Microsoft. We provide the automation and analytics behind many of Microsoft's commitments to security, privacy, and other areas of customer trust. In this role, you will work with a range of fun, modern, cloud and data-centric technologies Azure app services (e.g., web sites), data systems (e.g., Kusto, Azure Data Lake and Cosmos DB) and Machine Learning technologies. Lead a team of software engineers to design and deliver user experience features of our services
Recruit, grow and retain great software engineers
Lead by example and love coding
Full engagement in agile-based software development life cycle including DRI rotation.
Constantly improve customer experience through quantitative service monitoring, alerting, and the use of data and operational dashboards
Use your love of software to make the Liquid service even more reliable and amazing and increase customers' trust in Microsoft!
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
Experience with people management: recruiting, technical leadership and mentorship, personal development, team building, vision, and roadmap creation.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
