We believe that empowering our people and helping them reach their full potential is essential for the long-term success of both Lumen and our customers.Program dates: May 30 – August 8, 2025.The Main ResponsibilitiesLumen’s Product and Technology organization is looking for a Data Migration and Integration intern on our Data Enablement team. The intern will be responsible to assist with our transition from Informatica PowerCenter to Microsoft products. The ideal candidate will support data migration, integration, and optimization tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to a significant project.Other responsibilities of intern will include:

Centralize and normalize data from throughout the company into a data warehouse, lake, or hub.

Ensure data quality and governance.

Contribute to the migration to Microsoft architecture, tools, and technologies.

What We Look For in a CandidateProgram eligibility is contingent on the candidate’s commitment of the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made. Required qualificationso Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior or graduate level education status at the start of the internshipo Graduating August 2025 – May 2027o Preferred fields include but not limited to: – Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems.o Intern must be able to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program (May 30 – August 8, 2025) Proficiency and understanding of:o MS Office Suiteo Basic understanding of data migration concepts and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)/ ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes.o Familiarity with Informatica PowerCenter a plus, Microsoft data tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Power BI), Databricks, and Oracle.o Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or similar.o Experience with data integration and optimization techniques.o Certifications (Plus): Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or similar certifications, any relevant certifications in data management or cloud technologies.o Previous internship or project experience in data migration or integration is a plus.o Familiarity with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure is a plus. Preferred qualificationso Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.o Enjoys collaboration and works well in team environment as well as independentlyo Attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning and development.o Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.o Strong organization skillso Excellent written and verbal communication skillso Ability to multitask while working in fast paced environmentCompensationInternship compensation ranges depend on each individual’s level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.Hourly Based Pay Range:Min: $26.00/hourMax: $43.00/hourWhat to Expect NextAfter completion and submission of your application, you will be asked to participate in a virtual video interview.
