Yellowtail Sushi is hiring Sushi Chef / Host / Carry Out Expeditor / Server

We’re a growing sushi bar. In anticipation of summer, we’re looking to expand our team! We’re ISO people who love the fast pace of a restaurant, social settings, and want to join a close-knit team. We believe that if we take care of our coworkers, our coworkers will take care of our guests.

Carry Out Expeditor: ($20 an hour and up)

You can multitask well and keep your cool under pressure. You’re organized, detail-oriented, and work well with others. We prefer expediting experience as our carry-out is so busy. But don’t worry, we’ll train as needed!

Your responsibility is (depending on position) to input orders, pack precisely, and expedite carry-out food as needed.

Server: (Server minimum wage + tips with an average $250 per shift or more)

You can multitask well, have excellent verbal communication skills, are detail-oriented, and can work in a team setting under pressure. You’re energetic, friendly, positive, and team-oriented. Servers, this is a high-income position so we prefer at least 2 years of experience with Japanese cuisine. Your responsibility is to provide guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. You’ll have to be familiar with a pretty extensive menu.

Host: ($20 an hour and up)

Maki Sushi Chefs: ($22 an hour and up)

You have 3+ years of experience as a sushi chef making maki. You should have experience working in a fast-paced environment. You can stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours. You’re a team player with a positive attitude. Responsibilities include sushi preparation according to recipes and efficiently executing intricate, aesthetically-pleasing sushi plates and rolls. You’ll be working with other staff to ensure the safety and sanitation of the restaurant.
