Environmental, Health & Safety Manager - up to $110,000 / year
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team at our cherry processing facilities in The Dalles, OR.
Our two state-of-the-art facilities in The Dalles are equipped with advanced sorting and pitting technology, enabling us to process large volumes of cherries efficiently while upholding the highest quality standards. As the EHS Manager, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across our facilities. Your role will involve developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive EHS programs that ensure compliance with both company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead EHS initiatives across the facility, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility while staying informed about the latest compliance standards, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
Develop and enforce EHS procedures, policies, and guidelines to ensure strict adherence to both internal and external requirements.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor compliance, identify potential risks, and take corrective action as needed.
Collaborate closely with employees and management to promptly address hazardous conditions and unsafe practices.
Serve as the primary EHS contact for third parties, including neighboring businesses, local councils, and regulatory agencies.
Support environmental compliance efforts related to NPDES, Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Program (RMP), hazardous materials, and waste management.
Lead incident investigations, manage Workers’ Compensation claims, assist with case management, and ensure the implementation of corrective actions with thorough reporting.
Prepare and present comprehensive EHS reports as requested.
Deliver engaging and informative EHS training sessions, and participate actively in operational and committee meetings.
Facilitate emergency evacuation procedures and other safety drills.
Perform additional duties as required to support the facility’s EHS objectives

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant EHS experience
Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Previous manufacturing experience; experience in the food and/or beverage industry
Preferred Requirements:
Occupational Health and Safety Certification.
ASP/CSP Certification.
Knowledge of both environmental and safety compliance.
Experience with PSM and RMP.
