Customer Service and Retail - Mac Nuts & Coffee

Are you a fan of macadamia nuts? Ahualoa Family Farms in Honoka’a is seeking a friendly and dependable individual for customer service and retail sales at our storefront, The Nuthouse. We specialize in gourmet, 100% Hawaiian macadamia nut treats and Hamakua coffee.

Your role will involve overseeing the retail store, brewing coffee, offering samples, and processing sales, along with administrative support tasks. If you’re enthusiastic about mac nuts and coffee and love interacting with customers, we’d love to hear from you!

Nuthouse Shop Responsibilities:

Engage with customers warmly, offering samples and sharing product information while processing sales.

Deliver exceptional customer service.

Prepare coffee to order.

Manage phone calls and handle mail.

Ensure the retail and lanai areas are clean and visually appealing.

Adhere to opening, closing, and daily operational procedures.

Communicate effectively with kitchen and factory teams to keep the shop well-stocked.

Assist with various administrative projects.

Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Job Skills and Qualifications:

Ability to learn and communicate our mission and product knowledge effectively.

Basic math skills for transactions and experience with point-of-sale systems

Proficient in document and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft, Google Docs, Sheets).

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Reliable personal phone for team communication.

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs; ability to stand for extended periods.

Positive, can-do attitude; prior customer service and sales experience is a plus.

Wednesday to Friday, 7:30am-4:15pm
