Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator
We are a private outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic. Our mission is to help patients suffering from various orthopedic/neurological injuries rehabilitate back to an active lifestyle. We take pride in treating all our patients like family and ensuring that their experience with us exceeds all their expectations. The front desk receptionist/patient care coordinator is a vital part of our team as they are the first and last person every patient sees when they come in for an appointment and are often the first point of contact over the phone. We are looking for someone who is kind, patient, enthusiastic, self-motivated, detail oriented, and punctual.
Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator Job Responsibilities:
Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments (in person/over the phone), and maintaining records and accounts.
Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone and answering or referring inquiries.
Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.
Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the reception area.
Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, and assisting with insurance claims as needed.
Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs.
Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort by assisting in other duties as needed/requested.
