We believe that empowering our people and helping them reach their full potential is essential for the long-term success of both Lumen and our customers.Program dates: May 30 – August 8, 2025.Work LocationThis position is fully remote/ work from home.The Main ResponsibilitiesLumen is looking for a Financial Analyst Intern within the ROW/Dark Fiber group. The intern will be responsible for financial management of various right-of-way (ROW), 3rd party fiber & conduit and/or pole agreements related to Lumen’s leased and owned dark fiber network across North America. The intern will partner with Lumen’s internal accounting teams to develop and manage the financial reporting (including budget forecasts, amortization schedules, cash payments and accruals) associated with these ROW and dark fiber assets. In addition, the intern will conduct financial analyses and audits, manage disputes, perform account reconciliations, and manage budget reductions.Additional Responsibilities:

Budget Management (Forecasting, Amortizations, Cash, Accruals)

Contractual Financial Analysis and Audits, including expense recognition and account reconciliation.

Assist Contract Management and Contract Acquisition teams in financial management of contracts.

Dispute management with 3 rd Party and ROW providers.

Uses several techniques to solve complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires a review and analysis of several factors.

Provides solution to complex issues by employing multiple skill sets and relying on both past experiences and novel approaches.

Required qualifications

Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship

Graduating August 2025 – May 2026

Preferred fields include bur not limited to: Business, Business Management, Accounting of Finance or related field

Intern must be able to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program (May 30 – August 8, 2025)

Proficiency and understanding of:

Microsoft Suite

Microsoft Office

Contract management and managing finances

Preferred qualifications :

Provide solutions to complex issues

Critical thinking

CompensationInternship compensation ranges depend on each individual’s level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.Hourly Based Pay Range:Min: $22.00/hourMax: $35.00/hourWork AuthorizationUS work authorization is required.
