Data Center Technician/Field Analyst
Description We are in search of a Data Center Technician/Field Analyst to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the electronic data communication (EDC) work load, coordinating equipment movement, and processing IT and vendor requests into work orders. Additionally, you will ensure the general health of communication rooms, manage equipment installations and decommissions, and provide on-call support when necessary. Responsibilities: Manage the scheduling and coordination of EDC work load for buildings Coordinate the movement of equipment between rooms, floors, and buildings Translate IT and vendor requests into work orders Responsible for maintaining the general health of communication rooms and storage rooms Monitor environmental conditions and cleanliness of technology spaces Handle equipment installations, decommissions, and re-locations to maximize cabinet space Provide on-call support when required Prepare customer turnover package and perform turnover walkthroughs with customers Support building power downs and preventive maintenance activities Manage installation requests from initiation to closure Perform server configurations and equipment troubleshooting Conduct quality assurance tests according to specifications Update various inventory databases each time a device is visitedThis role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. Applicants should have skills in Fiber Optics, Cisco Routers, Router Switches, Physical Servers, Copper Cabling, and Network Cabling.PhoRequirements Possess a minimum of 1 year experience as a Data Center Technician/Field Analyst Proficient in working with Fiber Optics Experience in using Cisco Routers Knowledge of Router Switches is essential Familiarity with Physical Servers is required Should have experience in Copper Cabling Proficient in Network Cabling Must possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary Willingness to follow industry's latest trends and technologies Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Relevant certification or degree in IT or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
