Associate, Real Estate (Apollo Management Holding, L.P. – New York, NY); Multiple positions available. We are offering a salary range of $155,000 to $195,000 per year. Assist the Real Estate Debt group in providing fixed and floating rate first mortgage and subordinate financing including mezzanine and preferred equity investments on behalf of multiple investment vehicles including a public mortgage REIT, insurance companies and managed funds. Support all aspects of the team’s investment activities, including deal sourcing, evaluation, execution and asset management and will provide analytical and project support for the same. Conduct industry research and construct financial models and sensitivity, comparable and other discrete financial and mathematical analyses. Conduct property, market, financial and asset due diligence as required. Conduct communication with external partners and due diligence advisors such as sponsors, brokers, attorneys, investors, and third-party consultants during deal transaction and participate in deal closings, including the review and negotiation of legal documentation. Curate investment presentations to present backup analysis and calculations. Run statistical analyses on tenant profiles and financials to predict renewal probabilities and establish model assumptions. Liaise with the asset management team to monitor existing investments and will assist in management of the day-to-day tasks of the Real Estate Debt group on an ad hoc basis. Position based in New York, NY; telecommuting permitted up to once per week. Domestic travel up to 15% of working time.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field and 1 year of experience working in the real estate field, including working with real estate investment banking, commercial real estate lending/CMBS, principal investing or brokering. Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following: market sizing, financial performance, and competitive landscape mapping; preparation and maintenance of detailed financial models and analysis for commercial real estate debt and preferred equity transactions; conducting financial due diligence; review and negotiation of legal documentation within deal closings; and, deal sourcing and analysis of potential investment opportunities. Experience may be gained concurrently. Position based in New York, NY; telecommuting permitted up to once per week. Domestic travel up to 15% of working time.
