Tancho is Austin’s newest sushi experience, and we’re searching for skilled Sushi Chefs / Fish Filleters to help us ensure the highest quality of fish preparation. In this unique role, you’ll focus on expertly preparing fresh fish each day, supporting the creation of our signature dishes behind the scenes.

About Us: Tancho Sushi is a new innovative restaurant concept here in Austin with plans for further expansion. We are looking to bring a high-quality, delicious, multi-course sushi experience to our customers. Our dynamic restaurant is sure to make waves as Austin’s newest addition to a vibrant Austin food scene. Apply to have a part in this new exciting journey!

Positions Available: We are currently hiring full- and part-time Sushi Chef’s / Fish Filleter’s to join our team.

Responsibilities:

·Prepare fish by filleting, gutting, slicing and portioning fish for the upcoming day.

·Willingness to take direction in how fish is to be prepared.

·Maintaining a good attitude towards fellow workers through the workday.

·Communicate with fellow workers and management effectively.

·Maintain a clean workstation.

·Follow set up and break down procedures properly.

Qualifications:

·Previous fish filleting experience is necessary.

·Experience cutting sashimi and nigiri is ideal but not required.

·Fast and efficient knife skills.

·Be organized and clean.

·Willingness to work collaboratively with other staff members.

·Physical stamina to stand, move for extended periods.

Experience and Training:

·Experience is required: we are open to training and teaching to build upon current experience.

·High Character, good attitude, and a positive team-orientated mindset are essential.

Pay and Schedule:

·Hourly Pay: Starting at $20 an hour. Pay dependent upon experience.

·Full-Time: 30-40 hours a week

·Part-Time: 10-30 hours a week

·Open to both full-time and part-time positions.
