Project Manager - Data Infrastructure

The Project Manager will be responsible for estimating, proposing, and coordinating project execution for local clients, with occasional work for clients with out-of-state locations. This role requires a strong focus on customer service and the ability to maintain professional relationships with team members, clients, vendors, and partners.The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills to efficiently handle a high volume of project activities on a daily basis. This position reports to the Data Infrastructure Department Manager.This is a full-time position which will be fully in-office in Eden Prairie, MN with some local travel. Target pay is $80,000-90,000 plus car allowance, cell phone, allowance, and commissions.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Business Development team, clients, and prospects to assess and qualify project opportunities and solutions.Partner with clients, prospects, trade partners, and the internal Design team to design solutions and define project scopes.Prepare detailed project estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and other costs required for accurate budgeting.Use company templates to create comprehensive proposals, Statements of Work (SOW), warranty statements, and other related documentation.Oversee the execution of low-voltage and technology projects related to data infrastructure, ensuring compliance with project plans, schedules, contract specifications, codes, safety programs, and best practices.Manage the workforce to ensure project objectives are met and supervise adherence to industry standards and regulations.Source competitive material pricing and ensure timely delivery, returns, and credits of all materials.Arrange equipment rentals and manage timely deliveries and returns.Monitor and control project costs to meet or exceed profit margin expectations.Enter project opportunities promptly to support revenue forecasting and workforce planning.Collaborate with Operations staff to maintain accurate administrative details within the ERP system.Work with the Finance Department to fulfill project-related accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) responsibilities.Stay current on industry technology, standards, and processes.Perform other related duties as required or assigned.Qualifications:5+ years of project management experience in the low-voltage industry, with a focus on data infrastructure projects.Proven experience in designing, estimating, and managing data infrastructure installations.High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement).Strong time management, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and other Windows-based applications.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Performance Expectations:Comprehensive understanding and execution of key responsibilities.Demonstrated initiative and ability to perform the role to its full scope.Accuracy in project estimation and budgeting.Effective management of multiple projects to ensure timely and on-budget completion.Attention to detail and successful handling of all project-related tasks.Ability to work well in a team environment and foster positive working relationships with colleagues.Consistent achievement of high-quality work and customer satisfaction.Ability to meet deadlines and complete assigned tasks efficiently.Dedication to being a reliable, punctual team player with a "can-do" attitude.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
