Job Overview:

La Luz Provider Agency is looking for a committed and client-centered Occupational Therapist to provide services in Santa Fe on the NM Developmental Disabilities Waiver. The successful candidate will have a flexible and holistic perspective and will be able to adapt the environment to fit the person. Services take place in homes and in the community.We are an established DD waiver agency that values providing quality services to our clients. Job Responsibilities:

Select and adapt the appropriate per case occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventions

Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living

Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use

Train, guide and educate caregivers

Attend scheduled team meetings and observe, note, and report on progress of treatment goals

Complete required trainings for DD Waiver providers and complete and update required paperwork and reports for each client

Regularly follow-up with clients

Experience and Skills:

Working experience as an occupational therapistexperience and/ or interest with working with I/DD population is preferred

Knowledge of OT treatment practices and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession

Experience using computer programs (Word, Excel)

Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities, client centered and personable approach

Professional behavior and good interpersonal communication skills

Valid, current NM license to practice occupational therapy

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $70.00 - $90.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week

Schedule: Choose your own hours

License/Certification: Occupational Therapy License (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

Santa Fe, NM: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Location: In person, home visits/ community visits
