Shipping and Receiving Manager
Job Overview
McSteven’s is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Manager. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in Shipping software.
Duties / Responsibilities
Managing shipping operations:
Overseeing the day-to-day shipping and receiving operations of a food manufacturing company.
Preparing and packaging orders for shipment.
Stage pallets for shipping.
Unloading and loading delivery trucks and containers.
Maintain accurate shipping logs and documentation for tracking and reporting purposes.
Operate pallet jacks and forklifts and the box truck.
Keeping track of inventory and warehouse stocked.
Reviewing inbound shipments and verifying items and quantities.
Managing and handling shipping documents: bills of lading, pick/pack slips, advance shipping notices and customs docs.
Managing warehouse staff: supervising and assigning tasks while ensuring the warehouse is clean and orderly.
Working with carriers in negotiating rates, tracking shipments and resolving issues with carriers.
Requirements:
Previous warehouse and shipping experience.
Experience driving box trucks, forklifts, and handling pallet jacks.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 – 4:00
Pay: $25/hour
