Security Manager
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Security Manager to join our team in Troy, Michigan. The Security Manager will play a pivotal role in our organization, ensuring the safeguarding of our assets, employees, and operations. This role is engaged in a diverse range of functions including managing access control, utilizing Cisco technologies, firewall technologies, IDS, and IPS, and ensuring adherence to cyber security policies and strategies.Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage security protocols and procedures to protect the organization from internal and external threats Utilize Cisco technologies for the establishment and maintenance of secure networks Implement and manage firewall technologies to protect data and network infrastructures Utilize Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) to identify and prevent potential security breaches Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential areas of improvement in the security infrastructure Develop and implement cyber security strategies and policies to ensure the organization's digital assets are protected Oversee authentication processes to ensure only authorized individuals can access certain information and systems Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate security measures into the development and operation of software and systems Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 security controls and standards Maintain up-to-date knowledge and certification in CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) for effective management of the organization's security infrastructure. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in Access Control and Cisco Technologies is required. Should have experience with Firewall Technologies, IDS, and IPS. Must have hands-on experience in Auditing and Authentication. Familiarity with DevOps processes is essential. Should possess a deep understanding of NIST 800-53 and Vulnerability Assessments. Must have the ability to conduct audits related to network security. Should have a strong background in developing and implementing cyber security strategies and policies. CISSP certification is mandatory. Must have excellent communication and leadership skills. Proven experience in managing a team of security professionals is required. Must be able to handle security incidents and provide timely solutions. Ability to stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies is needed. Must be willing to work flexible hours and be available for any security emergencies.
