Downstream Purification Scientist
Full Job DescriptionJob#: 2049214Job Description:Apex is seeking a Downstream Purification Scientist to join a growing company near the Plymouth Meeting, PA area.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize downstream purification processes for monoclonal antibodies.
Operate and maintain AKTA chromatography systems and Tecan liquid handling systems.
Perform filtration techniques and other downstream processing methods.
Collaborate with the team to develop and implement new systems and processes in a developing lab environment.
Troubleshoot and solve problems independently, creating solutions for missing steps in processes.
Ensure all work aligns with non-GMP lab standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, etc.); Master's degree is a plus.
2-3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in downstream purification and chromatography.
Proficiency with AKTA systems; experience with Tecan systems is advantageous.
Additional skills in ELISA, HPLC, and PCR are beneficial but not required.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in a development-focused role rather than quality control.
Familiarity with non-GMP lab environments, Process laboratory.
