Responsible for the termination process of employees, both hourly and salaried.
Responsible for conducting communications regarding information affecting staff: policies, procedures, congratulations, general changes, general communication to employees etc.
Follow up business cases among employees or between employees and supervisors, to ensure a positive work environment.
Facilitate and attend HR Focus Groups (i.e., Employee Survey, Roundtables, All Employee Meetings) including meeting minutes and timely completion of action items.
Create and maintain Wellness Program for facility including participating in team sponsored events; evaluate corporate best practices and incorporate into facility program.
Responsible for the maintenance of employee recognition programs such as Employee of the Month, Perfect Attendance, E-STAR, 5S, Achieving Excellence, etc.
Perform monthly analysis reports in order to maintain data to enable effective decision-making.
Responsible for monitoring the media for employees, such as newsletters, murals, kiosks, plasmas, magazines, among others.
Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years of human resources experience
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in human resources, business administration, industrial or labor relations from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR in a union manufacturing environment
Skills:
Understanding of labor law
Computer skills including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Strong written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to influence and lead teams, working cohesively
