We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced CDL HazMat Truck Driver to join our dynamic team.
Job Description:
As a CDL HazMat Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting hazardous materials in a safe and efficient manner. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, compliance with regulations, and the ability to adapt to varying schedules and equipment conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) to transport hazardous materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous materials transportation.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation as required by DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Be prepared to work with equipment that may not always be in perfect condition; a flexible and problem-solving attitude is essential.
Schedule:
- Varies based on business needs; may include local routes one week and over-the-road (OTR) routes the next. One day you could be doing 10 hour trips, the next could be within 150 miles. You must be okay with constant change!
- Must be available to work a full 70 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL with HazMat endorsement.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably with hazardous materials.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have no family hindrances that would affect availability or scheduling.
