Our organization:Real time market data is at the core of Bloomberg's business. Feeds handlers directly consume real time market data from hundreds of exchanges and financial institutions around the world and translate it into normalized streams. The data Feeds provide is consumed by applications across the Bloomberg platform and ultimately used by clients making the decisions that drive financial markets.SHOW FEEDSOur Team:With over 300 supported exchanges, thousands of feed instances, multiple supported exchange protocols, and hundreds of supported fields and features per exchange, the Market Data product is complex. The Feeds Business Intelligence team empowers our users - Feeds engineers, business partners, and external customers all over the world - by providing tools that allow them to better understand our Market Data product. With this knowledge in hand, our internal business partners can use the information to identify gaps and prioritize work, and our external clients can better access the value of Bloomberg Market Data.{SHOW Feeds BI }What’s in it for you:

Become a mentor - as a new and growing team, we are looking for a senior engineer to provide guidance

You'll need to have:

4+ years working with an object-oriented programming language (C/C, Python, Java, etc.) or full stack web development

Prior contributions to system design and architecture and experience scaling fault-tolerant, distributed systems

Collaborative approach to problem-solving, and ability to collaborate with peers, partners and management

We’d love to see:

Experience with full stack web development

Experience with Javascript React/Redux, Node.js express, Typescript, Python, comdb2, PostgreSQL, MongoDB

Experience or eagerness to work on large scale projects with stakeholders spread across teams and regions

Experience working with complex data models or market data
