The Cath Lab Clinician (Rad Tech) is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and application of cardiac catheterization, interventional, and electrophysiology procedures.

Responsibilities
Assists with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and/or electrophysiology procedures in compliance with protocols, policies, and guidelines.
Prepares patients for procedures, including allergy documentation; monitors patients' conditions during procedures, e.g. blood pressure and heart rate.Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
Educates patients and families on cardiac catheterization procedures and policies.
Maintains and cleans cardiac equipment and upholds laboratory safety.
Engages in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.
Works in accordance with on-call and scheduling requirements for the Catheterization and Electrophysiology Team.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Licensure:
Valid R category Ohio Radiological License; Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist active status.
Certifications:
-Basic Life Support required upon hire
-PALS and ACLS certifications required within 4 months of employment and maintained throughout employment.
Experience:
-One-year experience in a catheterization lab and/or one year interventional radiology experience is preferred.
-Congenital heart disease experience also preferred.
