We are a reputable property management company overseeing a portfolio of residential and commercial properties. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for maintaining the functionality and appearance of multiple properties across the area.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including light plumbing, landscaping, general maintenance, and repairs across our properties. This position requires a versatile individual capable of working independently to address routine and emergency maintenance issues. You will ensure that buildings, grounds, and appliances are properly maintained and in good working order to provide a safe and welcoming environment for our residents and tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance duties including light plumbing, electrical repairs, and carpentry.
Conduct appliance repairs and ensure functionality (stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, etc.).
Handle landscaping duties such as mowing, trimming, and basic lawn care to maintain curb appeal.
Perform routine inspections of building systems and common areas to identify maintenance needs.
Complete work orders for repairs such as patching drywall, painting, changing light bulbs, and fixing door locks.
Assist with groundskeeping, including snow removal, cleaning common areas, and managing waste disposal.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Collaborate with property management staff to ensure maintenance tasks are completed on schedule and to standard.
Maintain proper inventory of tools and supplies and report when stock needs to be replenished.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in general maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, or a related field.
Knowledge of appliance repair, carpentry, and basic landscaping.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for travel between properties).
Availability for on-call work for emergencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in construction, and general building repairs.
Prior experience working with property management or in a similar role.
