Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Controller in San Francisco, California. The selected candidate will support our client, overseeing various financial operations within their large-scale industry. This role is crucial in managing the day-to-day financial operations as well as managing a team.Responsibilities: Oversee the financial operations of the company, including financial statement preparation and month-end close. Manage a team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial statements and reports. Leverage skills in Oracle Fusion to optimize financial operations and reporting. Handle quarter-end responsibilities, ensuring all financial statements are prepared and finalized within the set timeframe. Maintain a strong understanding of our financial systems, including PeopleSoft and Oracle, to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise. Utilize your skills in financial statement preparation and month-end close to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards. Play a key role in the maintenance and improvement of financial processesRequirements A minimum of seven years of experience in a Controller role or similar position Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation Expertise in Month End Close procedures Proficiency in using PeopleSoft for financial processes Knowledge and experience in using Oracle for financial management Familiarity with Oracle Fusion for integrated business processes Ability to manage and complete Quarter-end financial tasks Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong understanding of financial regulations and standards Experience in managing a finance team is preferred Professional certification such as CFA or CPA is a plus Proficiency in other financial software and systems is desirable.
